Dr. Sandeep C S has successfully completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, USA (2024–2025). His research focused on an Enhanced Hybrid Method for Early Diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease using spectrogram analysis and deep learning techniques under the guidance of Prof. Martin Margala.
Published a research paper titled “Fire Hazard Prediction in Forest Areas Using IoT-Based Sensing and Deep Neural Networks” in the Proceedings of the Global Conference for Advancement in Technology (GCAT), IEEE (Scopus Indexed), on October 26, 2025.
Dr. Anoop V received a Certificate of Registration of Design from the Patent Office, Government of India for the innovative product titled “Mobile Device Pouch with Integrated Wireless Charging System” (Design No. 458422-001).
A research paper titled “Early Detection of Retinopathy of Prematurity Using a CNN-LSTM-Attention Model: A Non-Invasive Risk Classification Approach” authored by K. Remya Bharathy and V. Anoop has been published in the Elsevier journal Biomedical Signal Processing and Control (Volume 113, 2026).
A research article titled “Early Prediction and Risk Analysis Using Hybrid Deep Learning Techniques in Multimodal Biomedical Image” authored by Anoop Vylala, Bipin Plakkottu Radhakrishnan, and Anoop Balakrishnan Kadan has been published in the reputed Wiley journal Developmental Neurobiology.
We proudly recognize our faculty’s exceptional performance in NPTEL certifications. Dr. Parvathy Jyothi and Dr. Sandeep C S excelled in AI and Machine Learning courses with scores of 92% and 69% respectively. In Accreditation and Outcome Based Learning, Ms. Anjali O led with 93%, followed by Ms. Divya Konikkara (72%), Ms. Nikhitha N (66%), and Mr. Jithin K C (57%). In Data Structures and Algorithms Design, Mr. Shine P Xavier scored 78% and Ms. Leeshma O V 62%. These achievements reflect our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.
Dr. Sandeep C S, Ms. Reshma K G, and Mr. Jayakrishnan have successfully completed NPTEL courses, reflecting the department’s strong commitment to professional growth and academic excellence. Dr. Sandeep earned an Elite certification in Cyber Security and Privacy with a consolidated score of 62%, Ms. Reshma completed Introduction to Machine Learning with a consolidated score of 55% and full marks in assignments, and Mr. Jayakrishnan accomplished the course on Accreditation and Outcome Based Learning.
Dr. Sandeep C S contributed as a Co-Author to the book chapter “Unsupervised, Semi-Supervised, and Self-Supervised Learning for Climate Applications”, published by IGI Global on 11/10/2025. The chapter is part of a Scopus-indexed publication, highlighting his scholarly contribution in advanced machine learning applications.
Dr. Sandeep C S participated in an FDP on “Next-Gen VLSI and Semiconductor Systems: Integrating Machine Learning for Intelligent Design Automation” held at R.M.D. Engineering College from 11/03/2025 to 11/08/2025, gaining insights into emerging semiconductor technologies integrated with AI.
Dr. Sandeep attended the FDP “Innovation and Entrepreneurship for India’s Sustainable Future” organized by NIT Patna from 11/10/2025 to 11/15/2025, which focused on fostering innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills for sustainable development.
Dr. Sandeep C S took part in the FDP “Future Intelligent Network Toward 6G: 5G and Beyond with Reconfigurable SDR and Machine Learning” conducted by NIT Rourkela from 11/24/2025 to 11/29/2025, enhancing his expertise in next-generation communication technologies.
